This policy describes which data the Quiz Patente app processes, and how. If something is not stated here, the app does not do it.

In short

• No sign-up, no personal details requested.
• Study progress stays on the device and is never sent to any server of ours.
• The app is free and supported by advertising served by Google AdMob, which processes some device data.
• We use no behavioural analytics and carry out no profiling of our own.

Who processes the data

The data controller is Edoardo Bommarito, developer of the application, reachable at the address at the bottom of this page.

Data kept on the device

The app stores locally, and only locally:

• answers given, mistakes made and per-topic statistics;
• the history of completed mock exams;
• which theory lessons have been read;
• preferences: licence category, light or dark theme, study reminders.

This data never leaves the phone, is never transmitted to us and is not accessible to anyone else.

Advertising

Ads are served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure them, Google may process data such as the device advertising identifier, IP address, device and operating system type, and interactions with ads. This processing takes place under Google's own responsibility and policies.

Consent and choices

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent form appears on first launch where you can accept or refuse personalised advertising. Refusing is a direct choice, not hidden inside a submenu, and does not limit use of the app: you will simply see non-personalised ads.

You can change your choice at any time under Settings → Advertising preferences in the app.

On iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission is also requested. If you deny it, ads remain non-personalised.

Notifications

Study reminders are generated and scheduled by the phone itself: they do not pass through any server and require no remote notification token. They can be turned off under Settings → Reminders or in the system settings.

Minors

The app is intended for people preparing a driving licence theory exam, from the minimum age set for obtaining the licence. We do not knowingly collect data from children and we do not profile any user ourselves.

Deleting your data

Because the data exists only on the device, deleting it means using Settings → Reset progress or uninstalling the app. We keep no copies: there is nothing to request from us and nothing we can recover afterwards.

Your rights

To the extent that we process data concerning you, you may exercise the rights granted by Regulation (EU) 2016/679: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. For data processed by Google as advertising provider, requests should also be directed to Google under its own policy.
